Amaranth Archer

Background

Aaron Archer was born in one of the poor black neighborhoods of Gothamopolis. He didn't have much growing up. No presents under the Christmas tree, no breakfasts that weren't at school, and no gifts for his birthday other than the knowledge he had survived another year. Of course, all of that would change one day.

One day, Aaron's older sister Diana decided she was sick of being poor and would do something about it. Finding an old bow and arrow in trash can, Diana repaired them and became the Argent Archer. She's since had a successful career as a hero, and eventually started making enough superhero cash from her exploits to afford trick arrows with crazy effects. Aaron looked up to his big sister. And eventually, it would come time to save her.

One day, while Argent Archer was at the bank with her family cashing a check, the original White Knight showed up, and started attacking the place. When White Knight realized Argent Archer was there, he got extra excited and flew over to her in a blaze of hatred, and, before she could react, he used his hateful strength to fling her quiver across the room, and then break her legs. But just as he was about to burn Argent Archer to a crisp, White Knight felt a sharp pain in his chest. He looked down, realized an arrow was sticking through his heart, and then everything went dark. Aaron had shot him with an arrow.

Following this, Aaron became the Amaranth Archer and carried on his sister's legacy, while she attends Gothamopolis University.

Personality

Aaron has two loves: his sister and the thrill of battle. He's determined to make the world a better place, starting with Gothamopolis. He often thinks about his humble beginnings and uses it to connect to the people he wants to save. That being said, he is a very serious person who doesn't take crap from his teammates. He also doesn't like it when people act like his murdering White Knight was completely unjustified.

Powers

Aaron has a collection of arrows at his disposal, including bolo, electric, explosive, smoke, and grappling arrows. He can fire these or any combination of them to give his foes a bad time.

Appearance

Aaron is an African-American teen standing 5'6” with an athletic build. He has short, straight, black hair, and brown eyes. He typically wears a red jumpsuit with a dark red capital lambda (Λ) on it, because it looks like an arrowhead.
