The Isneaqian
Illusion, Creation, Shadow, Knowledge, Corruption
Prior to the Shattering, Ngiachpaun had a very large Fey population. While many of the Fey died following the Shattering, the 5 Archfey that comprised the Isneaq survived along with some of their followers. From them comes what is now known as the Inseaqian, the descendants of the Ancient Fey.
In modern Ngiachpaun, non-fey folk use the term Ancient Fey and Isneaqian interchangeably. While widely considered to be the same species, the Isneaqian have changed slightly to adapt to modern Ngiachpaun. Among the Isneaqians, the biggest difference between themselves and their ancestors is the differences in their magic. Prior to the Shattering, most Fey (and other races) drew their magic from the Celestial Plane and the Old Gods. It was the Isneaq that pioneered many of the different forms of magic which are not of divine source. As such, the Isneaqians carry on this practice of non-divine magic, despite the new Celestial Plane.
