Newrek

Newrek is a world inhabited by magic and science alike. A world that has suffered many hardships in the past and is on it's way to recovery. At present time we have humans and their creation the "furries" trying to live in harmony and having issues with that. :') In the shadows we have an organization with a secret ill intent to control the masses with "helpful" cybernetic implants. And their main target of testing is the furries who aren't quite yet viewed as equals.   Newrek is the new Earth after an almost successful attempt to wipe out the human race. Almost everything is the same as it was before, aside from the lesser population of humans and decay to old human settlements. Most countries have moved on to clean energy by now under unanimous decision that it was for the best to survive. The sky is a bit clearer and the water a bit fresher. Scattered across the world are abandoned towns and countries with nature taking rule of the land. Tall buildings covered in vines and crumbling away, now ancient machines overrun with flowers and moss. Most humans fear venturing to these places, afraid of the malady that once almost destroyed them all. Afraid that it may still be there in these strongly affected places. The only ones who dare to travel there are wildlife and the furries. Perhaps a few brave humans...
