The Wayfarer's Map
"First, seek out upon the corners of the world each of the sixteen pieces of my map. Then, solve the puzzle written upon it to reveal the location of my greatest treasure."
-The Wayfarer in his journal, two weeks before the start of the Serpentine War .
No one ever got the opportunity to seek clarity about these words, as by the time the journal was found by a few of the Wayfarer's faithful, he had vanished into the western end of Z'hrat, never to be seen again. The end of the Serpentine War spelled the end of all the gods and their control over society, but the majority of the magical items that meant so much to them still remain to this day. The Wayfarer's map is one such item, promising treasure seekers something that would be of untold value, even to a deity.
At this point in time, only four of the sixteen pieces have a known location: three in the hands of well-known treasure hunters, and one currently selling for 8.2 million gold in an antique shop in Nomad's Heart . However, skeptics believe that neither the treasure nor the map itself exists, and the only "treasure" left by the Wayfarer are the mystery, the journey, and all the people we killed over counterfeit scraps of parchment along the way.
History
