The Crown and Chalice

"This is Ammy's place. (It feels so weird, writing, like, "oh, this is my baby Ammy" when it's literally Amethyst Dalziel from the tabloids, but ehhhhh, whatever. My Ammy.) I might be biased, but it's the most gorgeous casino in the district- it's a luxury, royal-themed casino with soft purple carpets and marble and all kinds of tapestries embroidered with gold and silver thread. He put all the slot machines in a little side room down the hall, so that way the jingling and pinging doesn't interrupt the gentle classical music that floats through the air.
The place was a gift from his mom a while back, but I'm 99% sure she did that transfer 'cause her lawyer caught wind of an upcoming audit. There's no other way she'd trust him to manage anything more important than the lunch catering at one of her stupid family meetings.
I've never been much of a gambler myself. Like, what's the point? Either you don't read everyone's minds and you lose money, or you do and there's no fun in it (and then the dealers catch on to your shit eventually and bar you from their table). But it's still a good place to catch a drink and some gambler's stinky emotions, and as Ammy's girlfriend, I get full access to all the VIP amenities, like the spa voucher good for redeem at any Dalziel property... ooh, I should hit that up sometime soon."
