the Lost Explorer

Who is the most famous explorer in the recent history of your world? Why are they so famous?
Reba (last name unknown.) She explored the whole world, early on. As soon as the grass began to green she went off on her merry way. She made maps as she went, and drawings amd wrote in journals about her expeditions. She was rarely on her own, hpwever on the chance occasion that she did go off alone, she never returned. 
Her ship was caugjt in a terrible storm, zero visibility, and an angry sea. No one ever saw her again. 
She, however, lived. She discovered the island of Crabhorn, an island that is totally surrounded by dense fog. She became the ruler of that island. "Ruler." She wrote about, discovered, and documented  everything she found. 
She had a vial of the mav3en on her necklace and with that she sustained herself for many years. 
The island is "unknown" by most of the world. There are no flowerlings, no peace treaties, and the only remnant of the old world is Reba herself. Its a beautiful island with no contact with the rest of the world. 
She tried to get off the iand many times, many ways,  but nothingcan get through the fog and torrential storms that plague the surrounding seas. So, she jas settled down, and became a queen ofsorts. At first, she thougjt she was the only person on the island  But no, as it turns out, Crabhorn is teaming with life. However, sheis the only human there. She earned respect from the natural inhabitants, and became somewhat of an old crab herself.  
She still lives on that island, and she still documents things and draws. However, her years of exploration have long ended.
