New Kryon

New Kryon is a land both torn apart and fed by greed. After many wars, rebellions, and coups, the various countries of New Kryon have settled into an uneasy truce, but the corruption within the powers that be is far from being resolved. Those who are born into power stay that way. Those who aren't survive through a combination ruthless ambition and unbreakable will.   Civilization has claimed much of the available land of New Kryon, resulting in monstrous cities that still don't have enough space for all of their residents. Apartments and shops are packed as tightly as can be, and the streets are dominated on the ground by holocar tracks and in the air by flying transports. Everything is bright and loud and constantly moving, making it easy to get lost in the fray.   Under the gaudy exterior, corruption and double-dealing dictate who comes out on top. The power structures of New Kryon are broken beyond repair, and everyone knows it. Various pockets of rebellion have sprung up throughout New Kryon's countries, and although the land itself is a product of revolution, none of them have had the strength to make any sort of lasting impact.   Perhaps that's about to change.
