The Flatlands

A massive expansive desert that occupies the center of the northern lands. No path leads through, though some small footpaths are found within. The land is relatively flat, but has wide rolling sand hills that make navigation near impossible. In the southwest portion there are massive sandstone temples and monuments, believed to be those of the Aurora people. Some of the temples have been explored, but the ruins indicate there are many to be discovered under the sands. A year or so ago, a sailing boat was discovered in the northwest region of the Flatlands.
