New Gaia

Pagan legends say that men first come to New Gaia from the stars. That they traveled between them in large ships that one of these ships fell from the stars to New Gaia. This seems preposterous but the holy writings of the first sages seem to confirm It. The first Sages wrote of the Great ship that transported them to the land of spirits. It was there that they learned the secrets of the Arcan Art under the tutelage of The Divine and The Expression himself. Both of these origin stories agree that men didn't originate from New Gaia.   Historians disagree on when men first came to New Gaia. However, the most common figure is a thousand years ago. The holy writers say that upon coming to New Gaia that the first men sought to as they say "regain that which they lost, to rebuild the ancient tools of power" to do this they form a great kingdom this kingdom, however, it did not last.   The holy writers tell us that the first men became filled with pride and pride blossomed into strife. The wared against each other destroying the very thing they sought to create. To prevent the destruction of man and to punish him for his arrogance The Divine scattered man along the face of New Gaia. These scattered people would form the first tribes which would become the Nation. These Nations would be forged into mighty empires.   excerpt from "The Birth of Empires"
