To the West of Taronia lies a land shrouded in Mist. Even after having contact for decades much of this new land is undiscovered and unexplored. The rugged land has lead the major towns to grow independently. The Independent alliance of cities units these city states in a mutual reliance on each other to survive.   Despite this some of the native people, as well as those in power in Taronia, wish to dissolve this alliance. Some wish to destroy the cities while other wish to enslave them.
