The Architect

The Architect was old before the Ark was tamed, and as its voice he has lived far longer than any kobold should. He knows when the rocks should be replaced, voices fear when a feral Ark approaches (though he sometimes calls them Dungeons), and is the final arbiter of when and where the Ark may surface to rescue mortals. The Ark could survive without him, but for how long is anyone's guess.
