The Ancient's origins are are lost to time. He exists. He has pawns, not followers, and on the rare occasion he's encountered in person he doesn't appear to be anyone special. The only way to track his appearances in the time since the world fell is by the terrifying displays of necromantic power that follow any attempts on his life or places he considers his domain.
