Goran
The Goran are an ancient, vampire-like species responsible for opening several Magi Schools across the country. Though many tales are told of them, little is known thanks to the long history of demonisation they face. Thanks to their animalistic qualities, those who believe in The Old Magi believe them to be direct results of the shattering of the Sixth Magi's power, cursed and corrupted.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Goran are humanoid in appearance, often with soft, almost glowing skin and eyes or hair of an unusual colour; usually a pale yellow or white. Their facial structures are usually sharp and long and their hands thin and bony. They can appear bestial at times, with thick body hair resembling fur, sharp teeth and fingernails, and a hunched over stance, but this is usually only when they fall out of control or live apart from humans for a time.
As Goran are powerful users of Éla they are capable of some level of shapeshifting, and many have honed this skill to appear indistinguishable from humans.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Extremely skilled with Éla, the Goran are capable of far more control than Magi. While their natural abilities vary as widely as Magi do, most Goran have some form of extrasensory perception, hypnotism, and ability to travel distances at speed (whether that be through super speed, teleportation, flight or portals).
Conservation Status
Goran are considered extremely rare due to hunting, though their actual numbers are unknown. It is permitted to kill or drive them out on sight, however, so their numbers are still dwindling.
