Majria Mountains

A region of Nerasia

The Majria Mountains are a massive range running from north to south along the middle of the Nerasian continent, splitting the continent into two ecosystems. To the east of the Majria Mountains are lush forests, jungles, marshes, and fertile grasslands that receive plentiful rainfall. To the west of the Majria Mountains are dryer grasslands, plains, wastelands, and deserts, with the exception of Karoa in the southwest, a pocketed region that receives much rainfall.
The tallest peaks of the range are densely covered in snow throughout the year. In the lower elevations and foothills, several matriarchal kingdoms take their residence. The people that live in the Majria Mountain range are colloquially known as the mountain folk.

Fauna & Flora

Red-leafed trees are common on the west side of the range; on the east side, much richer and more diverse plant life fills the thick forests.
