Starting and game style

First of all, you need a pc reason to be where you are at the start of our game, which is...

Indane's shadow for the autumn equinox festival

Hopefully this is kinda easy, it's a pretty big deal and loads of people travel there for various reasons. So long as you're there and the sort of character who might POSSIBLY get involved in something vaguely heroic i don't mind.

So in terms of the kind of game I hope to run, I hope it'll be fun, with much silliness and stupidity. However, characters who are solely comedic value are kinda hard to run an interesting game around, so if you could recognise when there's a serious bit that'd be awesome. Sorry if you want a comedy game, but that sort of thing is really frustrating when I've written some serious stuff. I'm gonna make it more character driven than my oneshots, and hopefully more serious than the recent blood cult one. If you've played laura's games that's the sort of balance I'm looking for; basic stuff like being sufficiently sombre when presented with a traumatised child or significant threat to your life should cover it.

Lets all cross our fingers that noone gets stuck in any windows, or killed in session 2! ;)

What should I read?

All of "a players guide", which is listed in order of importance.

In magic and religion: all if you're playing a charecter who knows about it, but definitely "players and the arcana", if you're religious read the articles about gods.

Your race plus any your charecter knows a lot about

From organisation, "land" and possibly "lords"

The township "Andelros" and it's child articles (this is where you start!)

Any nations or Tetrads you're interested in referring to or coming from/following.
