Religions of the Iron Jaws

The current religion in The Iron Jaws is worship of the Bull Lord, which is state-mandated. However, as of two years ago there was a wide range of accepted deities and religions, that still have some quiet support.

The Bull Lord

Ancient and mad, the Bull Lord is primarily a god of power. Secondary deific themes are wealth, strength, greed, cows, gold, summer, and sunlight. The underdark has no sun, and no seasons, so it is widely known that the Bull Lord is a god of the overground. He encourages his followers to believe the overground should be theirs, and that they should conquor it.

Pantheon of the Hall

A tetrad of hospitality and celebration gods, the pantheon of the Hall was well established in Iron Jaws culture, and has similarly influenced other duegar strongholds. Notably, the system of halls themselves, whereby most adults join a group called a hall, centered around an actual building. Akin to a second family, halls are bound to strict requirements of hospitality and generosity, as well as loyalty to their members. Halls are often the hubs for occasions of extravagant celebration, which the pantheon encourages at any opportunity.   The pantheon of the Hall is made up of:   Marlaen - Law, loyalty, respect, identity   Pan-kal - Alcohol, revelry, freindship, music   Dinwreja - Metalwork, protection, love, well-crafted things   Hespidg - Warmth, safety, food, poetry

Coval-enka

A form of Loralist Duality, the Coval-enka (literally "the little village of Coval") worship a deity of hope and song called Coval. Their conterpart is known to the Coval-enka as Vosmei, bringer of rot and corruption, who some believe is a lord of demons. Vosmei is most often an agent or manifestation of an entity of rot and repulsion in the Beyond.

The Cairn Gods

The Cairn Gods are a minor religion brought to the iron jaws several times, mainly by drow fleeing the spider queen. In the Iron Jaws the evil spirits associated with this religion are well feared by the religious and the generally superstitious.

Osmir the baker

A lone god, Osmir is neutral-aligned. He is a god of fresh bread, hard work, simple delights and equality. While being named as baker, he stands for all crafts that create simple necessities such as farmers and weavers. His followers have been known to scorn opulence, and the recent revolution began among his people, before gaining traction with the wider population and then being co-opted by the bull lord.
