Organisations

The area known as the spires is occupied by several, rather varied, sources of power. Their interations are varying levels of civil, and so are their opinions of travellers through the region. They are:

Tribes

Most of the population exists in four semi-nomadic tribes: Mistilkee, Stonemind, Favor'spar and Daori. They farm the small valleys whilst wandering over a wide range to hunt and gather. Believing mostly in various wild spirits, their main concerns are finding enough food to stay alive, and rejecting any attempt to enforce laws upon them. A lot of their population comes from people who have fled from other parts of the world, and been taken in by the tribes, usually ex-criminals.  

Perrillians

  United by a belief in the god-like entity known as Perrilli, these people maintain several monastaries, shrines and religious settlements dedicated to her worship. There are four destinct sects of worship within the Errillintski region, with their own buildings and shrines around the spires area. However, all worship and protect a cave on Quori Peak, which is recognised as the origin of their religion and still their most sacred site. Most of the people in the mountains do not live there long term, but are pilgrims from the surrounding lands. The temples and monasaries are maintained only by gifts that these people bring, as the religion is fairly widespread. Perrilli is generally recognised as a good entity, with lots of celestial associations. In reality it is an organisation in the overside (plane of celestials/good) that uses the religion to forward their cause on the material plane. No such single being Perrilli exists, but each sect of "her" religion is overseen by a general of the organisation.    

Fiendish cults

  As such a prominent celestial religion has it's epicentre in the Erillintski spires, three fiendish cults have gravitated to the area. With greatly varying beliefs and motivations, they end up competing with each other as much as they achieve their original goal.
