Drow

The ancestors of the drow were elves, cast out from the newly forming elven society. They live in the dark places of the world, some have ventured to planes more saturated with the darkness that they believe they own. Usually evil and universally hated, the drow that dwell on the material plane spend their lives pushing back at a society that doesn't want them. They share a grace and appreciation of beauty with their cousins who dwell in the light, but they tend to have different tastes, and appreciate brutal irony and the macarbe.

Their cursed exsitence gives the drow a unique outlook on the world, you could never accuse them of laziness, and they are some of the best aquainted with the curiosities of the mind.

Civilization and Culture

History

As the post-wave chaos started to abate, and the races had become distinct, elvish strongholds across nardish started to cast out the unwanted members of their society. These elves were often criminals, but sometimes merely people the strongholds did not deem worthy. Filled with bitterness, the castaways found each other, and fled from the wilderness down deep caves, forsaking the forests above that they had come from. The anger and resentment that these first drow felt is still very evident in their society.
