Andleros
Andleros itself is a mostly poor, if peaceful, place. It's central town of Culkik is the only place built on an external road, and so the only place that gets any outside trade. The other villages are mostly self-sufficient, filled mostly with farmers and hunters, that roam the large amount of forest inside Andleros's borders.
The notable exception to the unremarkable nature of Andleros is it's autumn equinox festival, where for a few days every village is filled with decorations, markets and visitors. Being one of the wildest and most forested townsteads near Astora brings good fortune, as many city dwellers come every year, in what could be described as a small pilgrimage. Many gods of autumn, death, nature, and beauty are honoured as the leaves in the surrounding forests turn orange.
Geography
Roads between villages are small, meandering, but realatively well kept. The forests are crisscrossed with tiny paths, that constantly change, and only the hunters who spend their days there can be sure of finding a path through the wildness.
Fauna & Flora
Natural Resources
The land produces enough to keep it's occupants fed and dry, but few have disposable income. Even the lord's house is small and bare, as taxes have to be low to get paid at all, and most of them go to maintinence, and paying the township's militia. Wood, lamb, wool, potatoes, forest herbs, venison and boar, and animal pelt are the area's main resources.
The notable exception are the two mines that have sprung up in recent years. Both were started by people from outside Andleros, and while one has brought prosperity to the people, the mine near the village Indane's Shadow has done nothing but endanger it's workers to line the pockets of the owning family, the Nallamaes.
