Divine Plane

The Divine plane is perceived by most as the realm of the gods, and in many respects this is true; the Gods as we understand them do live here, and in death it is to this plane that all souls are sent. That being said, that is where the accuracy of most peoples perception ends.   In reality, the Divine Plane is closer to a realm of belief, in which exists anything which enough people believe in. For instance, it is believed so widely that souls are sent to the Divine Plane on death that the power and magnitude of this belief simply creates the soul of anyone who dies - provided people continue to believe souls pass on to the afterlife, it will continue to be true.   The level of belies offered to a God or a concept also determines its strength - with the previous example, it is so widely believed even on a cosmic scale that it is true for all beings. That being said, Nalan is full of hundreds of small gods, and between them they divide worship so thinly that few of them gain enough power on the divine plane to influence the material realm.   It is possible for an experienced plane shifter to enter the divine realm, and I have done so myself on a few occasions. Theoretically, the mechanics of the divine plane mean that it is possible to create something by sheer force and magnitude of belief, something which could even be powerful enough to pass into the material realm - such as souls being pulled back to their bodies during resurrection.
