Vorik'Hel

Symbols: The Gryphon, The Claw

The Vorik’Hel are an ancient tribal people who live within the Borderlands, a contested region beyond the control of the Kingdom of Najarune. To most outsiders, they are seen as bloodthirsty raiders, but their true purpose is far more solemn. Deep beneath their sacred homeland rests a being of immense power, known to them as Gor’Nagth, a name for what others call the Elder God.

Though they do not fully understand its nature, the Vorik’Hel believe they were chosen to keep this force asleep. Their brutal rites, often involving the sacrifice of body parts such as fingers, limbs, or worse, are acts of devotion. These offerings are believed to appease the god beneath and maintain balance.

The Vorik’Hel are led by the Great Chief, the voice of unity and tradition. Speakers serve as shamans and interpreters of divine will, performing sacred rites and preserving spiritual order. War Chiefs lead the warriors, protecting the land and striking down those who trespass.

As Najarune’s guilds bring their conflict into the Borderlands, their actions disturb the sacred ground. Every battle fought, every piece of land taken risks awakening what sleeps below.

Their symbols reflect their values and duty. The Gryphon represents honor and pride. The Claw symbolizes sacrifice and strength.

To the Kingdom, they are a threat. To themselves, they are the last line between the world and destruction.
