Castillo Sweetland, Archivist of Najarune

“The past is not buried. It merely waits for someone to listen.”

Little is known of Castillo Sweetland's origins, save that he appeared in the court of the Warforged King during the height of the War of the Borderlands. Charismatic and clever, he quickly earned favor among the nobility for his keen insight, love of lore, and surprising skill in diplomacy. Despite his refined bearing, Castillo spent more time in taverns and marketplaces than in libraries, preferring the company of commoners and travelers.

Though now recognized as a noble, Castillo is a half-elf bard with a reputation for irreverent humor and effortless charm. He has journeyed far beyond the borders of Najarune and speaks of distant lands with familiarity. He claims no house or lineage, but holds the honorary title of Archivist, a post granted after he compiled Najarune: Requiem of Echoes, the most widely cited chronicle of the kingdom’s origins.

He is also the author of Resonance of Oaths, an in-depth and often poetic account of the powers, pacts, and organizations within the borders of the Kingdom of Najarune. Where Requiem speaks of the past, Oaths listens to the present.

Some whisper that his face resembles one long presumed lost.

He completed his chronicle in 119 U.E., and has since disappeared from public life.
