Tall and imposing, they have 4 muscular arms and two trunk-like legs, their heads are large and often round but a lot of the size is the thickness of their skull. Their eyes are sunken in and their noses are mostly nostril, their ears are very large but they can't hear well, and they have two tongues. Fully grown they are 7-9 feet tall - not counting their horns!
They grow horns on their heads, different colors and shapes are involved in determining social status.
Their hands have 7 fingers, the two on the outside are like thumbs.
Genetics and Reproduction
One partner gets impregnated and carries the baby in a womb. They usually produce one baby at a time, with rare occurrences of multiples.
They are always hermaphroditic or zirch. They can decide who they want to carry the baby as they have two distinct sets of genitals.
Gestation takes a year, after which there is a live birth.
Growth Rate & Stages
Graknikon are mammals and rely on the birthing parent for sustenance until 1 to 1&1/2 years old, when they are able to be weened. Their teeth usually start coming in just before 1 year old. They begin learning to walk anywhere between 1/2 and 3/4 of a year old, usually mastering it by 1&1/2. They rely heavily on their parents to learn basic skills until about 6 years old, when they are often expected to be much more independent. They still live with their parents, but they start having tasks in the community that are appropriate for their age and skills. They grow rapidly between the ages of 6 and 15, going from rather small around 3 ft to often 7-9 ft. They reach sexual maturity (if applicable) between the ages of 15 and 20. They are typically fertile until 45-55 years old. They usually begin slowing down around the same time. They typically live anywhere from 70-100 depending on availability and quality of resources.
Ecology and Habitats
They are very adaptable, and moreso than some other species they seem uniquely suited to thriving in harsh environments. They are hardened and tough, and often groups of them are found thriving where others either dare not stay or where they have failed trying.

Social Structure
The most common birth defect is to be born with one tongue, when this happens, the baby's tongue is cut in two. If they survive, they cannot speak properly because they use both tongues to make more varied sounds, and they are often mistreated and bullied. Even if they are very smart, they are treated as lesser and as though they are less intelligent because of their speech problems. They often end up as slaves, or if they're lucky, servants.
When Graknikon have hierarchy in their social structure, they favor darker skin tones and their elders.

They are often used for manual labor because of their strength and having four arms.

They have poor hearing and vision, but they have really good proprioception.
Some of them are able to control non-sentient species to do their bidding, the most common is just mastery of bugs, but some rare individuals have great power and can control large beasts for mounts or weapons. Some are able to temporarily gain access to the senses of other creatures, as long as the creature is nearby.

They are very muscular, even "out of shape" they are extremely strong.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Their skin can be any shade of grey, blue, or green. Their tongues are medium to dark purple.
Their eyes have a black or grey sclera, with an oval shaped iris and pupil. Their irises are usually purple, red, or yellow.
