The old Ben

sitting on this porch in a swing chair, an old man smokes a pipe and watches out for everyone passing by to have a greeting or a short chat. Several bundles of herbs hanging from the roof to dry carry a mixture of strange smells over.

The old Ben is the herbalist in this village and a retired adventurer. Once - so the townsfolk whisper - he slew a dragon all by himself. There is a tale in the local area about a blue dragon who once lived up in the hills until one day, old Ben went up there and slew the biest with his old sword and some explosive potions he brewed in secret. Ben can sell all common herbs to the characters for a normal price or a good price if the characters are willing to share a story with the old man
In addition, Ben knows one or two things about the area if the characters ask him.
