Great Druids
Among the ancient Stags of Mythria, there are those who stand above the rest in both power and authority - the Great Druids. Acting as de facto leaders in their respective proto-kingdoms, known as Dominions, the Great Druids rule with an iron fist over both their slaves and lesser stags.
Notable Great Druids include:
Llethryn - the Supreme Leader
Ahlamaar - the Seductress
Quetzander - the Necromancer
Pahrazanta - the Illusionist
Gosslancor - the Shaded One
Danzikka - the Mute
Voloquis - the Hermit.
Structure
The Great Druids operate on a 'might makes right' political structure; where the one who takes power, keeps power. As such, political challenges often result in personal duels, often to the death, in order to determine succession. This often leads to quite spectacular bouts of combat, both physical and magical, wherein everything, including the lands and slaves they fight over, become subject to collateral damage.
The role of Supreme Leader is decided in much the same way, where the strongest of all the Great Druid makes their claim - or is challenged - for the position. The prospective Supreme Leader often makes routine challenges to their subordinates to assess their loyalty and maintain the order of power.
Public Agenda
The Great Druids are the rulers of their respective territories, known as Dominions, where they oversee the legions of slaves that produce resources and services to them and their underlings.
