Hermes

The Divine Trickster, Herald of the Gods, Master Thief, Conductor of Souls

Hermes is the son of Zeus and Maia. He appears in the figure of a blond youth, always a smile on his face. Of all the gods he was the shrewdest and most cunning: in fact he was the Master Thief, who started upon his career before he was a day old.
The babe was born at the break of day,
And ere the night fell he had stolen away
Apollo´s herds.
Hermes was forced to give the stolen herds back by his father and made to apologize. He was able to win over Apollo by gifting him the Lyre - a musical instrument he just invented. He is able to move freely and quickly between the worlds of living, the divine and the dead and thus the burden of guiding the souls of the recently passed into the afterlife falls onto him.   The young God was a breath of fresh air on Olympus, keeping all the older Gods on their toes, bringing up new ideas and constantly planning mischief. He also is the god that most often visits the realm of the living, making him one of the most prominent gods in mythology.
