The Frenzied Folk

If the Elemental Guards are in tune with the more divine elements of Suleria, the Frenzied Folk are the personification of the continent's more primal side. The Frenzied Folk are wild and untamed; they follow the Ways of the Wild, taught to them by the Primal Wolf back in the depths of time. Though they haven't been seen in years, they are said to have the ability to shift into the form of wild beasts with terrible teeth and glowing red eyes. They have no real hierarchy, seeing themselves as wild and free, but if one of them can prove themselves dominant, they can earn the right to command, so long as they can keep it.

History

The Primal Wolf is said to have first appeared to the Frenzied Folk back in the depths of time, teaching them the ways of the wild, and allowing them to first change shape. Throughout the early years of the Frenzied Folk he appeared periodically to guide and advise them, but sometime around the creation of the Elemental Guards he fell silent. His influence is still rumored to walk among the Frenzied Folk, however, and some still claim to hear his voice on the night breeze. Originally a small clan of a select few who heeded the call, the Frenzied Folk began to grow in numbers and had several clashes with the Elemental Guards over the years before the balance was reached and both retreated to their respective homes. The Frenzied Folk have been hiding in the wild for some time now, but are growing restless and hungry as more and more new changelings swell their ranks every day.
