Castle Mist
The home of the King of Archren, and the seat of power for the kingdom. A magnificent stone castle, its battlements rising high above the town of Archon so that it is visible from nearly every corner of the city.
Purpose / Function
To house and protect the King and his advisors, provide a seat of government, and be a symbol of the Kingdom.
Alterations
Several wings were added to the original building for various administrative purposes, and several towers and battlements were added during the period in which the Frenzied Folk would periodically raid the country.
Architecture
Soaring stone towers and battlements reaching towards the heavens. The windows are rounded arches, and the hallways are lined with windows and balconies overlooking the sea. The stone was quarried from the cliffs further down the beach, and are steel grey, flecked with bits of quartz and salt, which glimmer in the sunlight.
History
Construction started on Castle Mist 500 Years Ago, when Gustav was King under John Erbin. Construction on the building was officially finished after about 20 years, though a few wings and battlements were added later as needed. In all the years it has stood above Archon, the walls of Castle Mist have never been breached.
