Phantastasis (fˌæntɐstˈɑːsiz)

The technology core to Malora's development and fuel. This power is created by using necromancy to sealing restless souls who still roam the land of the living into the spectrite that naturally occurs in Malora. Using the zeal of these specters you can power vehicles, machines, and even weapons. The only people who can use Phantastasis are known as soul scribes, and they are extremely rare across Inknotch. The small amount of soul scribes in Inknotch are clustered in Malora, and they all work to develop new technologies to change lives. There has been debate in the technological community on whether the practice of Phantastasis is ethical, since it preys upon the unfinished business of the dead. Since they are locked into powering these mechanisms, they can't finish their mortal baggage and move on to the afterlife.
