Origin village

The quiet country village of Origin

Government

As both a Human settlement and being located within the Middterh Region, Origin village is under the rule of the Human royal capital of Grandalheim. Being such a remote settlement, the residents of Origin live mostly care free and tend to their daily routine.  Origin village does have a mayor; Wimey Burch. The mayor is responsible for upholding the law and reporting to the ministers of Grandalheim, however, rarely are there any news to be reported. In fact, the people of Origin have a larger affinity to the village's Parish led by none other than Reverend Gaylesh.

Defences

Being such a small country village, the most it has in terms of defenses are the wooden fences around the perimeter. Lastly, Origin does have a few dedicated men-at-arms under the service of the mayor equipped with leather jerkins, boots and wrist-guards as well as some for of weaponry most commonly an short iron sword.

Industry & Trade

Origin village's main source of income is, unsurprisingly, their lumber. However, Origin village has the advantage of providing wood from the forest of Cootkatou which is particularly sturdy. (Not to mention these types of trees grow at an unprecedented rate compared to any other trees on Terra.) Origin village's primary clients are other Humans including the people of Grandalheim.

Infrastructure

Origin village is primarily a woodcutting town. Being located just before the border of the Cootkatou Region, they boast a near limitless supply of lumber. However, the people of Origin are very respectful of the forest and of nature in general. Should they harvest anything from the woods, they will be sure to plant trees, bushes, herbs, etc. in return.

Assets

Being such a small village, this is the type of place where everyone knows everyone. That being said, the village is home to a few small businesses for the occasional passer by. You'll find a general store, an Inn and of course the Parish.

History

It is unclear if the village was ever settled before the war and if it did, it may have gone by a different name.  After the war ended, the Humans used this spot as their primary base of operation in order to rebuild. Thus the name Origin was chosen as a sign for the rebirth of the Human. Early on, the village resembled a city more than a mere village. As time passed and other settlements continued to grow, more and more people left in search of their own desires. Eventually, Origin was reduced to a quaint country side settlement.

Tourism

Origin village offers very little in terms of tourist attractions. Well, should you make your way down to visit the Cootkatou Region, while there are multiple paths leading through the dense forests, Origin village is the only settlement available before entering the Region. (Its just a shame it is located near the edge of the Region on the Eastern side.)

Architecture

Origin is built almost entirely with the lumber gathered from the forests of Cootkatou. Each home differs in small ways from the last depending on the owner's needs and wants. Typically, each home is a single floor with the entrance leading to the main room comprised of the kitchen/dinning area. Next, the bedrooms are found past the main room and separated by a wall and door. Each home's kitchen is comprised of a stone furnace with a chimney passing through the roof and is used for both heating and cooking.

Geography

Origin village is located near the edge of the Middterh Region down in the South-Eastern side. The area consist of flat plains with the occasional rolling hills.
