Con' Coggra (A.K.A. The Gathering hub)
Travelers, one and all, welcome to Con' Coggra!
Demographics
The amazing and titular outpost made city that is Con' Coggra
Government
Con' Coggra is in a very unique position. Since it is technically part of the Atlatoth Region, the Middterh monarchy does not apply to the regulations of the unofficial city. And, since the citizens of Atlatoth have little governing practices, this leaves Con' Coggra to do as it pleases. And so, just about every rule is enforced by the headmaster; Phineas Takeital.
Defences
Being a the back of a 150 m tall cliff has its advantages and disadvantages. Con' Coggra uses an array of gigantic crisscrossing tapestries held high above the outpost in order to catch any falling rocks or debris and stop it from hitting the settlement bellow. As a bonus, the colors and patterns are splendid making it seem like nothing but decorations.
For dangers within the "city", Con' Coggra has a legion of guardsmen sworn to hold the peace. The majority is comprised of Humans, though members of nearly every race are enlisted.
Industry & Trade
If you need a bit of this or that, chances are you'll find everything you need in Con' Coggra... For a price. Yes, it is true that the unofficial city of Con' Coggra has become Terra's most popular trading spot and as such, the competition is fierce. People from all over come simply to visit and some try their faith at running a business. All are welcomed, though not all are successful.
The main attraction is still the lifts allowing the passage to and from the top of Highwall. One way will take you a short 5 minute trip instead of nearly a week long trip around the cliffs.
History
Originally built sometime before the war, Con' Coggra was nothing more than a rest stop offering a way for (Non Soarion) travelers to make their way up and over Highwall without having to venture North or South for kilometres on end.
During the war, the original structure did not make it unscathed and so, somewhere around 309 A.V. the structure was rebuilt with a few adjustments to improve on the original. It was not until 314 A.V. that Con' Coggra's reputation became a world wide phenomenon. No longer was the outpost merely a means to cross over between Atlatoth and Middterh, it was now a grand center of commerce and has been that way ever since.
Architecture
The many structures of Con' Coggra are built using just about any material you could get your hands on. This is to ensure that members of any race is welcomed and accommodated for. Because of the nature of everyone's needs, many of the structures were organised into districts to help facilitate navigation through the outpost made city.
The main building, which also offers the lift service to and from the top of Highwall, is a large castle-inspired stone building acting as the hearth of Con' Coggra. This building also marks the home of the famous or infamous, Phineas Takeital.
Geography
Built as part of the Cliffs of Highwall, the outpost forms a semi circle at its base. A wide vertical shaft has been carved in the cliff side in order to built the lift system allowing up to three separate carts to move at once. At the top of Highwall, a second structure exist as part of Con' Coggra, but its only purpose is to act as a docking station for the carts. It does have an Inn service for resting, food and drink.
