Monsoon Season - The Maelstrom (MonsUn Seezen - the Malestrum)

Every rainy season on the Agartha Archipelago, there is such a deluge of monsoon waters that the great Maelstrom to the deep seas to the south is coaxed in amongst the Agarthan Islands, making travel between the islands nearly impossible, let alone safe enough out in flood waters. The Maelstrom takes two months to pass through the Archipelago, mainly focusing its power on the Agarthan Straight. Some minor whirlpools can be found amongst most of the coastlines in the Rainy season. Yet this only adds to the dangers and mysteries of the Agarthan Empire of Island-States.   During the two month deluge from the monsoons and the winds created by the Maelstrom, thunderstorms are very common amongst these Islands of Agartha. High surf conditions pound the straight of Agartha for the majority of the two months. Once these currents subside the Maelstrom begins to lose energy and dissipates back to the Deep Southern Oceans. During this time known as the Dark Season in Agartha, much of the studies of the origins of nature and its secrets pick up speed. Known as the great Scribe sensations. Much of the Universities and Institutes of Study compete in the most rigorous research projects they can conjure.   Some stories say Riders of the Storm, a group of Wizards and Mystics harnessing the great lightening energies at the highest peaks of the Islands. Other lores speak of Druids, Witches, and Warlocks begin their deep delve into the inner powers and localize their magicks into grand rituals harnessing much of the Great Maelstrom Storms. No wonder the Kingdom of Agartha is shrouded in a constant mist like fog, this only adds to agitate the Maelstrom Storms.   Even the Bards and Priesthood were hard at work. Localizing the Maelstrom Storms energy into conduits of Power that energizes their rituals of Holy blessings, Protection, and Veil of Illusion via the glistening water droplets of the mist surrounding the Agarthan Archipelago.
