(Village - Population: 410) (75% Half-elf, 10% Human, 10% Halfling, 5% Tiefling) High atop a mountain aerie within the Summit Peaks sits Zephrah, the tribal home of the Air Ashari people, keeping vigil over a gate into the Elemental Plane of Air. The Ashari people worship and live by the balance of the natural world, and the people of Zephrah have adapted to life among the clouds. Subsisting on high-elevation vegetation and the occasional large avian hunt, most of the tribe consists of skilled hunters and climbers. Utilizing the proximity of powerful elemental magic, the druidic masters of the Air Ashari craft skysailing aids to ride the ever-present winds., allowing designated leaders and warriors to traverse the deadly peaks of the mountain range. The tribal leader of Zephrah is referred to as the "Voice of the Tempest," and oversees all travel through the rift, all major druidic rituals, and visiting outsiders.Voice of the Tempest
After completing her Aramente, the set of trials that every aspiring Voice must complete, Keyleth of Vox Machina became the new Voice of the Tempest. After her mother left to complete her Aramente and never came back, Keyleth set off on her own and found her friends who helped in her completing her trials. After the sealing of the Whispered One, Keyleth went home and took over the leadership role of Zephrah and is the current Voice of the Tempest.The Aramente
The process of becoming a Ashari leader, the people of all four Ashari tribes see completing one a sign of bravery, resourcefulness, and dependability. Though each tribe selects their aspirants in different ways, all who pass the Aramente become reliable leaders for their communities. The different leaders are the Voice of the Tempest(Air), the Heart of the Mountain(Earth), the Flamespeaker(Fire), and the Tidecaller(Water).
