Cursed War

376 Years ago, there was a vey powerful wizard. This wizard wanted control and refined enchantment magics to control other people. Through this magical tinkering, he created the first curse of Lycanthropy.
This wizard's Lycanthropy curse made the subject physically stronger and more resilient, and also subserviently to the wizard's commands. Then, he made the curse transmissible to easily infect the entire world and put it under his command. And then, he waged a war.
Starting from his laboratory in the Cursed Woods, this wizard sent his Werewolves to attack and infect local villages. Initially, the local warlords of the West refused to offer aid, hoping to be able to take their lands from them after the werewolves were dealt with, but soon they realized the threat was much larger than they expected. All of the great Lords met in a council at Castle Cord and quickly arrived at an Accord to fight back against the foe, known then as the Alliance of Lords. The Alliance gave the mortals a front line against the Werewolf army, and the full scale war against Lycanthropy began. The war would last a full year, and a prolonged conflict was not going in favor of the Alliance. The Alliance found out silver could get through the magical defenses of Werewolves, and were able to leverage their silver rich deposits into silvered weapons. Lacenia also joined forces part way through the war, utilizing their artificers for magic weapons and potions.
However, the combined forces of the continent were still slowly losing the war, as each battle led to more Werewolves against them. So, the Alliance of Lords hatched a last ditch plan. They assembled the four greatest heroes of the time and created what would be known as the Four-Pronged Spear . This group of heroes were sent past the enemy lines to take down the head of the Lycanthrope army and kill the wizard himself. They were successful and came back heroes of the land. After the wizard was dead, the Werewolves lost their organization. The war was over, but Lycanthropy survived. The Alliance of Lords immediately started to break apart back to the West's feudal past. Rydel Shadowspirit, leader of the Spear, instead fought to keep the alliance together. Through his influence, the Alliance of Lords made another alliance and formed the Silver Republic .
