Magical Storms: "Tempers"
While magic is now a part of everything; roughly 40% of weather patterns in the world become magically infused to the point of becoming a "Temper". Once the weather has become this infused with magic it will start forming magical patterns that become wild in a short period of time and proceed to release its energy in ways that are
vaguely associated with the regular weather patterns in the region. For instance, a rainy area will have more water based magical occurrences while a desert will have very dry or fire based magical occurrences.
These weather patterns began a couple of years after the Donum Autemystra event, and while theorists debate to this day the reasons for this, it is generally accepted that the prime material plane was the last plane to be affected by the event due to the celestial barrier keeping the tide of raw magic in the other planes at bay. Though it is also believed that this is the reason why Mundus Meros was hit as hard by the Tempers as it was, because the build-up of raw magic at the barrier eventually broke through and caused mass destruction across mundus in 3 BG.
