Requirements

A new Soil Guardian is chosen by his predecessor during his life time and approved by the Ryzanic people.

Appointment

In the ascension ceremony the crown is brought to the throne room by the chamberlain, who is the late king's right hand man. He gives the crown to the head of the audit court, representing the people, who crowns the king. This represents the late king appointing his successor but the people having the final say in this appointment.
