Mortemechs

Millennia ago, the dark elves lived within a grand empire that dominated the majority of the Vaupane continent. However, the empire eventually came to be caught up in a grand war against an enemy wiped from history. At one point within the war, the Dark Elves worked together with the Deep Gnomes to craft replacements for their dying soldiers. Many different constructs were crafted, and eventually the war forces of the empire were replaced with the Warforged.
There are many different projects crafted close to the end of the Denouement War. The mortamechs are one of the many predescesors to the Muncaelo Warforged, crafted by the ancient Dark Elf Empire to fight in the Denouement War. When the clockworks proved to be insufficient for replacing their waining military, the Dark elves and Deep Gnomes initiated new projects to replenish their forces. These new projects produced many different creations, the most prominent being the warforged which saw consistent action through to the end of the war, however another creation crafted by the deep gnomes were the mortamechs. construct suits that granted the wearer vast strength, enough to allow limited tropes to equate to armies of thousands.
A decent number of these constructs were crafted, but like the warforged were lost to the sands of time and have remained mostly hidden and in disrepair underneath the Solitudinem desert.
