Mother/Lady (Elvish)

A land steeped in magic and shaped by nature and the beings that inhabit it. There are many names for this world, but those cultures that feel the closest connection with the planet upon which they live often refer to her simply as Mother. The settlements and territories are split largely by ethnicity or magical affiliation, yet in all but the most isolated and/or conservative of places some amount of mixing is considered common (if not expected). Each culture has their own laws and customs, each are prone to general opinions, behaviors and naming traditions that may not make sense to those from foreign lands, but in general relations are good and borders are stable, the benefit of hospitality far outweighing that of hostility to your average citizen. Only some elder Elves, many Fae and few others similarly long lived can even remember the last time a major war took place.
