Mota

Mota isn't like other worlds where heroes run around with swords and spells, technology evolved here to mimic our own but with the same magic of other worlds. This continued until about the time their tech and history hit WWII when their version of the atomic bomb was dropped it yielded much larger results than ours with all the magic that was infused in it. Some say That's what caused The Evaporation, but no one is quite sure what it was. What they do know is that every major body of water on the planet started to dry up only leaving a few lakes and oases for people to survive on. Generations later and the water is still gone, but people have started to rebuild. Mota is panicle of that in this area, the largest oasis on this side of the continent and they export much of their water to surrounding settlements letting the area flourish. Now all of you for one reason or another have decided to join the militia to protect the coalition territory. What no one knew was that you joined on the eve of the greatest conflict Mota will ever know.
