The Phoenix and The Ice Cat

When it comes to talking about animals that represent power there are a few things to consider. The first is the region in which we speak of as culture changes across the borders of nations many things change including animals that are viewed and associated with power, and of course what power means to each culture becomes important as well. For example in the Desert Empire of Shul'Bar power is leadership, mastery, authority, and dignity it shows in the emperor and emperor's of the past since they have always been skilled leaders that have often shown up on the battle field themselves with their men to lead and fight. The nation was created by one of the most powerful spell-casters ever recorded in history Veriticus The First Emperor of Shul'Bar. Natrually magic as well is viewed highly among Shul'Barian elite and as such Shul'Bar believes in mastery, leadership, dignity, and gracefulness as clear indicators of power. So common animals that are associated with power in Shul'Bar is something like The Phoenix due to its elegance and power. Its immortal and dominating nature is very imposing and it radiates gracefulness and untouchability through its flight and its power through its flames. Other animals viewed highly are also Griffin's due to many of the same reasons as The Phoenix, Shul'Bar is well known for its riches and wealth due to it being the center of all trade in the east despite it sitting in the middle of a vast desert animals with flight and elegance and indominable power naturally is viewed highly.    However things are different as we travel to other parts of the world, Such as My'Ashu a smaller kingdom to the north known for its extreme mountain ranges and its dangerous winter blizzards this nation is among the coldest in the world, but it is also known for its extreme expertise in magic and it boast the best learning institutions for magical learning in the world. As such this nation views Magic very highly and those who have gained mastery in magic are viewed very highly among people in this nation. Magic after all is one of the primary ways this nation survives its harsh winters and cruel terrain. This nation views magic, logic, and knowledge as power and it has through this mentality survived some of the most extreme harsh conditions in the world. As such an animal which represents these qualities quite well is the Krimea or the Ice Cat it is an elemental animal found commonly in frozen wastelands like My'Ashu and is known for its quiet intellect and its powerful magic. The Ice Cat is rarely seen due to its nature of being hidden however it has shown for many travelers about to be killed by the harsh blizzard and aided them with its powers showing its kindness. It hunts animals in the blizzard and its icy fur is said to be so cold that ones hands would turn to ice upon touching it. Its presence exuded so much power that even in the hottest of summers would turn cold like the dead of winter in any area it is in. Yet despite this power it is viewed as an animal associated with power in all regions of My'Ashu and is talked about in many folk lore's and local legends throughout the nation.
