Deborah Hanover
Dr. Deborah Hanover (a.k.a. Dr. Deb)
Deborah was born in Hallstatt, Austria and earned her undergraduate degree in Genetics at the Medizinische Universität Innsbruck. She earned her PhD under Prof Freinch Grantz at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience and went on to do a post-doc with Prof Ghothes Lemigrad at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY. Following her postdoc, Deborah moved to Cambridge, UK, where she took on a new role as Reviews Editor for the journal of Embryonic Development, covering the stem cells and regeneration fields. She is now the Experimental Scientific Director and Advisor to the Chair and is responsible for the overall management of the research portfolio of the Department. She has taken a 5-year sabbatical to pursue further research into embryonic development and the mitigation of genetically predetermined diseases and disorders. She is preparing to begin human trails in association with WVU medicine in Morgantown, WV.
