Woads

Woads are special places where the connective veil between the Primelands and the Feywild or Shadowfell is thinnest. A Woad is influenced by the Plane on the other side of the shroud, with Feywild Woads being vast, lush, forests and Shadowfell Woads sometimes mistaken for places that a great fire ravaged through. Regardless of the type of Woad, creatures from the other Plane can often be found here either exploring this newfound world that they have stumbled upon or, having recognized the Woad for what it is, guarding the place against outside forces. If you are aware that a site is a Woad or have strong ties to the Plane on the other side, you can pass through the Planes with relative ease, but most stumble through these gates without realizing what happened, why or most importantly, how to get back.
