Welcome to a broken Earth

Moonlight White takes place on Earth. The world is pretty much the same as ours up until the start of the 20th century, as alien technology found right before the world wars by the USSR.    The worlds orbit is altered to slowly but steadily move further away from the sun. Becoming colder and colder in the process. Untill the world is more or less doomed.
Everything is still suspect to change.
