The world is composed of spirits, the great spirits made of lesser spirits like organs in the body, then lesser spirits are like cells, bacteria, viruses etc. Much of the world is based on spirits and magic that taps on the smallest of these spirits to use stronger spirits. Large kingdoms like the MistHeart Kingdom rely on using powerful spirits and the magic items that manifest their powers.   The moon Lake township is a number of small agricultural towns in a large mountain range, each run by a different group of nobles. They formed together and act as a trade hub in the hope that the large countries to the east and west don't invade them. The township relies of the power of the Moonlake Monarchy which is said to control the powerful Mountain Range spirits. While groups like the Osage, Dawn knights, guard the west border, while the elusive, Blue Mist Archers, guard the east.   Their are four forts each belonging to a different clan, Osage and Scadharr own the two that guard the main borders, as well as a large fort built between many of the small norther rivers, while the south is a fort built at the head of a group of mountain villages siting on high cliffs. The main city is is tiered over hundreds of feet and straddles a valley to the Fortified MoonLake Shrine. The rodes are heavily guarded and cleaned daily, by workers from this city, going so far as having fast and slow patrols to protect any travels coming through the township.   Many resources are gathered from smaller cities and brought to the main city, with farmers and craftsmen encouraged to make more then they have to and are payed in qlacks. These represent the the three major kinds of coins, copper silver and gold, though they only convert to metal money at two thirds the rate. The coins are copper leaves, stalks, and branches. Silver reads, eel, and lakes, along with golden goat, ox, and horses. The Leaves, stalks, reads and eels are short oblong coins, while the Branch, Lake, and horse are round, though the goat and ox are triangular. A leaf is worth one pound of hulled tried barley, three leaves is a stalk, twelve leaves or four stalks is a read, with the read and branch being worth a pound of copper.   To the north of Moon Lake is the dwarves country living in the mountains where they work on sciences and chronicle their inventions. Well magic hateing they harvest a very viral form of magical grain, however this grain also feeds the goblins, Pale Ogres, and the Grotesque demon tribe that feeds on all of the other humanoids. With the nobles following a giant beast that roams the land and feasts on stray travlers.   To the south is elves that live in the forest, The elves live from five to nine hundred years and can transform as they age. Those that focus their energy in word live longer and grow darker in skin color, with the ancient nobles being pure black and said to live forever. Elves have their own language and never write or learn as skills are inborn and learned through experimentation over the coarse of their long lives. They have no fixed sex and females regularly birth lesser fey while the males take care of them, though they can change sex within a decade, and some do so regularly.
