Caelith is one continent in a group of many, housing the home of the human race. Bordered in the north by the bear-like race known as the Daig, and in the west by the regal, advanced society of the Yorden, the human race tries to survive both their neighbours and themselves. Numerous individuals from all races become involved in seemingly unrelated conflicts that threaten the stability of their people, before becoming aware of a dire threat poised to affect them all.
Focused on now are the following stories.
The Yorden
Lirien, a member of an elite group of Yorden warriors known as the Broken Blades, is sent north to the Gilded Woodlands to investigate a series of deaths. While there, he bears witness to the first in a series of attacks led by the Rhanün, a long lasting enemy of the Yorden. Lirien must fight against the warband before it ravages the idyllic woodlands, and prevent a ritual that aims to resurrect an ancient god of the Rhanün.
The Daig / Humans
Briggi, a young human girl, adopted from a young age by Daig when her parents were found dead by the roadside. Seemingly from birth, Briggi has a series of runic symbols engraved on her back, burning with a fiery heat. Unable to be affected by the cold, the girl grew up with Daig stories and legends of their gods, hearing stories of how they gifting power to champions of old. Her father, believing her to have been gifted by the gods, decides to take her with him to explore Caelith once she is of age, but the dead begin rising from their tombs and marching into northern Caelith. They aim to discover where these corpses are headed, and to hopefully learn more of Briggi's gift along the way.
