Fae Wavelength Motion Engine

The Fae had spent millenia thinking that they were unable to be emulated or immitated. Holding ownership over skills that others had mastered prior to them. However, upon having the skill able to be observed and attempted to be immitated--an engine for a craft was created.

Captain Wilhelm O'erdewahl sat in the charge of the bridge of this craft. It was designed to be bouyant, despite currently being on land. It was a safety feature. Air tight was also another feature that was present on the device. He still felt nervous about any attempts to move with his craft. Much like half a degree of course could make you over par on a Golf Course, just a slight miscalculation, and you end up on some odd place in the Infernals.

"Power up the engine--and double check we are pointed in the right direction."

Captain Wilhelm O'erdewahl inhaled and held his breath for a moment.

Access & Availability

It is available for shipping packages, commercial travel and for improving internet routing. You need to have several people operate anything using one of these engines, so personal crafts are not a real notion.

Complexity

The biggest issue is the explanation of how it moves gives people a headache--even if you already know what it is doing. It is more complicated than most motion sensors, electronic engines and what not we'd know. Several parts don't move in the standard directions, and go against several of Eular's axioms.

Discovery

After the masquerade was dropped, various Fae ordered folks were made acknowledged to exist. After some talks with them, a few people would travel with the Fae with various devices to watch what was happening--or rather, had the intention of watching what was happening. First few attempts to watch what was happening did not really work... but these failures were taken into account, and eventually what the Fae were doing with their natural biology was observed and measured--and machines that could emulate such actions were built.

After several unmanned trips were tested--and had the probes destroyed, they managed to get several probes that were not destroyed. At which point they started moving animals on these devices. Sometimes the animals did not mutate entirely. Rarely did they die--but having a mouse return as a dire kaiju rat was reduced to happening less than 1% of the time. Once tat occurred, craft were being built to use these engines to move about the realms and world at a quicker rate.
