Denver is the capital city of the Northern Union, and is one of the most famous cities across the world. Its history, general existence and attributes attract plenty of tourists, and it's an ideal place to call home as well.

Government

Denver is the center of the government ruling over the Northern Union. As such, the city perfectly represents its goals, values and qualities. The government is rather distinct from most - almost everyone knows everyone, and its nature is as chaotic as it gets, despite the professional outlook. Either way, their methods work, and most of society views the authority with great respect.
One of the most obvious and perhaps surprising traits of Denver is that there is no homelessness. The government actively tries its best to provide help to any citizen lacking a job or a home (or both). There is a district that is specifically designed with multiple flats where people can live in until they are able to fend for themselves. Of course, it's not free and will have to be repaid, but it's designed in a way that ensures no one will have to live in debt forever.
This sense of assistance strongly spreads to strains. Other quintessence beings too, but strains hold an important place for the city, since the government essentially fought for their rights.

Defences

Perhaps one of the most notable traits of Denver is that it very clearly draws its borders. There's a holographic wall along the edges of the city, with a building and guards at various points. The purpose behind it is to ensure that all humans who wish to enter must be aware that their safety and lives are their own responsbility. Entering and exiting must be done at those said points, with legal documents. QS beings can come and go easier.

Denver is located right next to the sea.
The average tempature is 15°C, with the coldest month being February and the hottest being July. Overall there's not much rainfall yearly; usually November is the wettest month.
