West City

West City is the largest city on Mobius-2. With a population of about 100 million, it is classified as a hyper megacity and is the most populous settlement in the known universe. West City was founded in the year 120 CE as a small village. Mobians had arrived on the planet not even 50 years beforehand, and they had no homes. So, asking very nicely, they requested to bunk with the humans for the time being. Most humans weren't opposed to it, and accepted their new pals with open arms! But some humans were against the idea of interstellar visitors living in their houses and cities. They argued that maybe the Mobians were hostile. What if they planned to take over the planet? That got some people thinking, and pretty soon, a revolution was started against the Mobians. The humans that took the side of the Mobians grabbed their weapons and fought off the anti-Mobian humans. The pro-Mobian humans and anti-Mobian humans fought a long bloody war, that resulted in many losses on both sides. Eventually, though, the pro-Mobian humans beat back the anti-Mobians and the war was over. 
But, they hadn't yet made their final stand. Secretly, there had been a group of anti-Mobians that conspired with each other to kidnap thousands of Mobians, steal one of their spaceships, and move to another planet, where the Mobians would serve as slaves. This plan was carried out on one muggy summer night in 125 CE. Thousands of Mobians were knocked out, taken away, and dragged onto the still-waiting Mobian spaceship. All this was carried out with precision and great care. After all the desired Mobians were kidnapped, the anti-Mobians lit the ship's engines and blasted away, headed for another planet. These kidnapped Mobians were used as slaves on this planet, known as Anti-Mobius, and the quality of life there isn't great. There was a memorial held for the thousands of kidnapped people assumed to be dead, and life went on. The pro-Mobian humans decided that it was time for the Mobians to get their own city, and construction began posthaste. It took 400 years to complete this city, with many trials and errors along the way. 
Finally, in 525 CE, West City was fully complete. People had been living in the city for hundreds of years already, but this time, it was open to the entire world. The population of the place very soon shot above 1 million. People kept pouring in, getting jobs, starting families, and settling down. Citywide services were the best of the best for many, many years, and even the President of the UZM lived in the city at one time or another. West City surpassed the 50 million population mark in the year 1980, almost one thousand years after the city's founding. The city has the best technology that Mobius-2 can offer, with hovering subway trains for transportation and sidewalk conveyor belts for quick and easy moving. West City continues to grow steadily today.
The city's achievements have been heard throughout the universe! Attempts to emulate its design have been carried out on all sorts of planets, such as Earth and even Anti-Mobius, to varying levels of success. The most famous structure in West City is the Peace Tower, which was erected on June 23rd, 1990 in the center of the city.
