First Admiral of the Battery Armada

Describe the Rank and responsibilities of someone who's considered "in charge" of an organization, religion, or settlement in your world.

The First Admiral of the Battery Armada is in charge of the entire Armada when it is in service. This person is responsible for all the lives under his jurisdiction, and as such, he must know how to properly formulate a battle plan. The health, order, and discipline of his crew are of great importance, but he must also look after the wellbeing of the ships. His squadron is unavoidably exposed to a variety of perplexing situations in a precarious element. He must be able to guide the Armada through a variety of different weather patterns, storms, air attacks, and other things. 

 The First Admiral's uniform consists of a long black overcoat and dress pants that go to just below the ankle. For footwear, the Admiral wears black boots that extend to just below the knee. For handwear, there are white gloves. Worn on the shoulders of the overcoat, there are golden epaulets with short tassels hanging from them. Pinned to the left breast area of the coat, are various medals and lapels signifying the Admiral's accomplishments. Going from the right shoulder, crossing over the front section, and ending on the left hip, is a red stripe with the symbol of the Battery Armada. At the end of the sleeves of the coat are golden cuffs. Wrapped around the waist is a gold and black belt.

The very first Admiral of the Battery was nominated in the year 2080, at the start of the Interplanetary War. The Planetary Safety Assurance League was sent reeling after the first nuclear attack and decided to go full throttle from the get-go. As such, aircraft, spacecraft, and sea vehicles from all over the world were repurposed for the war effort. The Flying Battery was one of the first to be remodeled and she needed a leader. A man by the name of Gunner Wilson was most people's first pick. So, he was installed as the First Admiral of the Battery Armada. Admiral Gunner Wilson was a man of little words, and much action. His nickname, in fact, was Heavy Gunner, due to the fact that he'd hit a target fast and loud, and wouldn't let up until they were dead or ran away.
Admiral Wilson had a son named Nicholas, who was, at the time of the War, 23 years old. Nicholas Wilson served on the Flagship Flying Battery alongside his father for six years, until he suffered an injury in 2086, making him have to leave service for the rest of the War. Admiral Wilson guided the Armada through 27 battles, each one resulting in a victory for Mobius. After the war ended, he was relieved of his duties and would be remembered forevermore as the savior of Mobius-2's Battery Armada.

The First Admiral of the Battery Armada is one of the highest, most powerful positions in the Mobian military. He is in charge of the entire Battery Armada and has many responsibilities to take care of his crew, his ships, and knowing how to formulate a good battle plan.
