rook , is a Davrin Elf born in Vuthra'tern but now lives in Sivaraus. He is a commoner without a House. When pressed, he will claim to be a Deep trader. For the most part, this is true.
Background
Ruk had learned to slip into Low Gate to trade and steal long before he was discovered by a Red Sister who knew the place better than anyone. Beyond confirming the existence of Vuthra'tern and something of its power structure, the bua would not, or could not, speak his original name, his House (if any), or how he came to leave the faraway settlement and arrive at Sivaraus.
Current
Ruk has had many names and roles over more than five and a half centuries. He possesses an average, if rugged, appearance which does not tend to draw the eye. For a male Dark Elf, he is neither captivating nor unappealing, and keeps himself healthy by putting his own care first.
Although strands of blond are beginning to show in his white hair, Ruk has found a way to bleach them white again, for there are few males his age surviving in the city of the Valsharess. The only known male with gold hair is the Queen's Headmaster Phaelous. No good would come from forcing a comparison among the gossipers.
Evading attention has been crucial for Ruk's survival; he must not and does not stand out to most. There are only two females in Sivaraus in all his time that he has risked his life and his freedom to impress: Elder Rausery and Matron Rohenvi. For several centuries, there was only one child he devoted his time and resources to: his son Treyl of House Thalluen.
Recently, and perhaps feeling his age more than before, Ruk has embraced two further reasons to risk skulking to the center of the Great Cavern: Treyl's daughter Natia, and a precious secret kept by him and his Matron, Vekika Thallunthietti.
